Sauron got in touch at a very opportune moment.

One of the characters in the series “The Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power” will be Celebrimbor, an elven blacksmith who made those very rings. In an interview with Fandom, actor Charles Edwards, who plays Celebrimbor, spoke about his character and what to expect from him in the series.
- Celebrimbor is the ruler of Eregion, a region near Moria. He cooperates with the dwarves and tries to make Eregion perfect.
- He is secretive, conceited, sometimes quite gullible. Incredibly ambitious, can be blunt, not very social and prefers solitude.
- It is at the suggestion of Celebrimbor that the young Elrond goes to Moria. Perhaps Celebrimbor has some motives of his own, but he really respects the gnomes – as artisans, excellent jewelers and workers.
- The hands with the scroll appearing on one of the posters of the series belong to Celebrimbor. The scroll contains a plan.
- Celebrimbor has a “manic desire to create”, he lives in the shadow of a famous ancestor (apparently referring to Feanor) and wants to surpass his achievements.
- Tolkien’s writings describe “two or three” versions of Celebrimbor, so the writers of the series created a sort of compilation.
- At some point, the search for Celebrimbor undermines his self-confidence and makes the character vulnerable. At this moment, Sauron comes to him, taking on a different appearance.
- Celebrimbor loves luxury: for example, he has a velvet lounge chair in which the character likes to lie down.
The Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power will begin airing on September 2, 2022.
