With the end of Avengers: Endgame also has actors Chris Evans his career as CaptainAmerica finished in front of the camera. Like it SteveRogers in the MCU timeline meanwhile, we don’t know. Also made a cameo appearance in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier has failed, where Sam Wilson – played by Anthony Mackie – officially in the Captain America’s footsteps kicks. In a recent interview, he explained why Chris Evans ended the role.
“The role is no longer mine”
When asked if he would ever slip into Captain America’s suit again, Chris Evans simply replied: “No, I do not think so.” He also tells: “It’s been a really incredible journey and the character just means so much to me […] The truth is, the role isn’t even mine anymore. The role belongs to Anthony Mackie.” Only if Marvel put a perfect story in front of him might he be up for another one.
“You know, if there were another incarnation – not as Captain America but as Steve Rogers – even then I’d be wary. Just because I love that chapter in my life – professionally and personally. I love what the films have achieved. If you were to revisit that now and add a comical extension to that legacy, it would be sad if it didn’t work out. It would take an almost perfect recipe and that’s just not possible right now.”
Chris Evans is currently voicing Buzz Lightyear
If you want to see Chris Evans in the cinema again, you’ve got it Lightyear the chance to at least hear the actor.
