The developers of PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS have published a new blog under the “Airdrop from the Community” section. In it, the company spoke about the fight against cheaters.
So, the developers managed to significantly improve the anti-cheat in the game, which is called Zakynthos, due to which about 700 thousand dishonest users were blocked in April and May. At the same time, a significant proportion of fraudsters used other people’s (hacked) accounts.
A third of permanently banned accounts (33%) were created before PUBG switched to a shareware distribution model; 2% of accounts had Plus status; 61% were regular accounts with no access to the ranked game mode.
PUBG Studios plans to strengthen its anti-cheat practices by further upgrading Zakynthos and reducing false positive bugs. The developers will also improve the algorithm that detects the fact of account hacking; Moreover, PUBG Studios has started to punish users for transferring accounts, as well as crack down on sites that sell accounts.
