According to the South China Morning Post, Foxconn has begun its annual seasonal recruitment in preparation for the production of the iPhone 14.
The report claims that Foxconn is offering a 9,000 yuan (about $1,300) bonus to new assembly line workers who stay in production for more than four months after being hired at a plant in Zhengzhou, China. Foxconn offers similar bonuses to new and returning employees every year in the months leading up to the release of new smartphones from Apple.
Yesterday it became known that Apple suppliers began sending iPhone 14 components to manufacturers for final assembly.
Apple is expected to announce the iPhone 14 lineup as usual in September. The 6.1-inch iPhone 14, 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Max, 6.1-inch iPhone 14 Pro, and 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Pro Max are rumored to be introduced. The two Pro models are expected to receive a host of new features, while the two cheaper models will see fewer changes.
Improvements in the iPhone 14 lineup could include an updated front-facing camera with autofocus, improved battery life, and Wi-Fi 6E support.
