Since the free-to-play model automatically implies a place for cheaters of all stripes, PUBG fans were worried at the beginning of the year that the number of game cheaters would skyrocket. Reality, however, showed that the average monthly number of account bans for using cheating programs after switching to shareware rails remained the same as under the “premium” system.
According to statistics, from January to May inclusive, more than a million cheaters were blocked in PUBG Battlegrounds, while the maximum figure – 375,000 – was recorded according to the results of the anti-cheat system for May.

All this causes ambiguous thoughts: if the influx of players has increased, while the number of detected cheaters has remained approximately the same, then most likely the protection system is not coping with its tasks. However, the developers are confident that everything is functioning as it should, and over time the system will be upgraded to meet the new security challenges of the gameplay.
