Studio Pow Wow Entertainment and publisher THQ Nordic are working on a car action game Stuntfest – World Tour, which is as reminiscent of the early games of the FlatOut series as possible. Players are invited to take part in a stunt elimination show.
18 riders compete in the races, driving a variety of cars – from a pickup truck to a buggy. Cars are equipped with a realistic damage system, for example, you can literally flatten your opponent’s car with your own.
During the race, nothing prevents the rider from leaving the car and rushing towards the goal, for example, on a wing equipped with a pair of engines. After landing, you can again climb into the car and continue on your way.
Here racers can become living projectiles, catapulting from behind the wheel and overcoming hundreds of meters through the air. And the players at this time continue to control them, maneuvering in flight and trying not to stick anywhere at full speed.
You’ll have to master ingenious gadgets to expertly cut your way to the finish line and create opportunities for unexpected last-second victories. Well, the coolest thing: having returned from heaven to mortal earth, you immediately dive behind the wheel again and continue the race!
The developers promise an extensive character and car customization system, a large hub where you can chat with other players, and the opportunity to participate in glider races.
The release of Stuntfest – World Tour will take place in 2022, while only the PC version has been announced.
