Square Enix recently announced that Tri-Ace’s Star Ocean game: The Divine Force will release worldwide on October 27th. New gameplay footage was revealed showing the fight with its linking combos, Stop Mode, and more. In addition, an introductory video was released for one of the game’s two main characters, Raymond. True, it was in Japanese, but a little later it appeared in English, which made it more understandable for users. Check it out below.
As the captain of a space merchant ship, Raymond and his crew encounter the Astoria, a Pangalactic Federation battleship. The ship suddenly attacks, causing severe damage, and the crew is eventually evacuated. Trying to save a valuable cargo, Elena seems to sacrifice herself so that Raymond can escape.
Raymond and navigator Chloe manage to get out, and their escape pods arrive on the fourth planet of the Aster star system. Presumably, the story begins from here, although the reasons for the Astoria’s attack and what the players will find out is still unknown.
Star Ocean: The Divine Force will be released on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5 and PC via Steam. Pre-orders are already open, but in Russia the game is not available for purchase.
