The Kirovsky District Court of St. Petersburg banned the distribution of an episode of the animated series Happy Tree Friends in Russia.
We are talking about the series Friday the 13th – the most popular episode in terms of the number of views on the YouTube channel of the Mondo Media studio. The episode aired in 2012 and has been viewed more than 100 million times.
The court found that the link to the video contained materials “oriented to motivating minors to engage in destructive illegal behavior, including the use of violence against others.”
Previously, a Russian court had already banned the distribution of Happy Tree Friend episodes from two pirate sites in July 2021.
