STALKER has a new project Remasterin this case by the modder Andrey0007 which appears to be carrying out very promising work on the GSC GameWorld original, as evidenced by some images released about it.
It is not the first project that attempts a similar operation, but this effort is also welcome, waiting to understand if it is destined to be completed.

Andrey0007’s idea is to completely rework the original by applying new ones texture in 4K, some of which built through upscaling techniques via artificial intelligence.
However, it’s not just about tweaking textures: according to the modder, the idea is also to enrich the game’s setting by adding new NPCs, dialogues and situations game, as well as increasing the quality of the shaders and polygonal models, in order to technically evolve the whole game.
Considering the amount of mods that are already available for the first STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl, the actual impact that this work will have has yet to be assessed, but if it were to come to fruition according to the plans of the modder in question it could really be a interesting project.
