Square Enix announces that Star Ocean The Divine Force, the brand new installment in the popular action RPG series, will be released on October 27th, 2022 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and STEAM. Developed by tri-Ace Inc., Star Ocean The Divine Force begins a new chapter in galactic history. It tells an exciting story with diverse characters that merges science fiction with fantasy. Pre-orders for the retail and digital versions will be available starting tomorrow. To celebrate the latest installment in the series, the developers have prepared three new trailers:
The game offers two protagonists to choose from – with different perspectives on the story and different gameplay experiences: Raymond, the captain of the trading starship Ydas, and Laeticia, princess and knight of a kingdom on the underdeveloped planet Aster IV. Destiny brings Raymond, Laeticia and other allies together. All characters were designed by well-known artist Akiman (“Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness”, “Street Fighter” series).
“Star Ocean The Divine Force” will be available physically and digitally as a Standard Edition for all platforms. A Digital Deluxe Edition is also available for all platforms. Those who purchase the Digital Deluxe Edition will receive the Star Ocean The Divine Force soundtrack as well as in-game items including armor, accessory, and weapon sets.
Anyone who purchases a physical or digital edition of Star Ocean The Divine Force at or shortly after launch will receive the Mini Game Pawn Pack. Those who pre-order the Digital Standard Edition or the Digital Deluxe Edition will also receive an in-game weapon pack for the protagonists: the Greatsword Lionheart’s Blutgang for Raymond and the Dual Blades Flashing Naglering for Laeticia.
