Actor Christian Bale has confirmed that a couple of cameos from the Marvel movies were planned for Thor: Love and Thunder, but they didn’t make it into the final cut.
After praising the cast in an interview with Prensa Escenario, Bale let slip that he did scenes with none other than Peter Dinklage and Jeff Goldblum.
I worked with Peter Dinklage. It didn’t make it into the final cut of the movie, but it’s fantastic. I also had the opportunity to work with Jeff Goldblum, who also did not make it into the final cut of the film. As you can see, many things are thrown away, although they were beautiful, shiny things.
Dinklage previously played the role of Eitri, the dwarf king, in Avengers: Infinity War. Jeff Goldblum participated in the movie “Thor: Ragnarok” as the Grandmaster. Neither have confirmed their return, though Goldblum previously hinted at the possibility of a return to Love and Thunder during a surprisingly odd interview with Esquire.
Will I do Love and Thunder? The truth is, and I can say this now because the trailer came out, that I’ll be in it. This is my most challenging role to date and I consider it my highest achievement. I can’t see it visually. You never see me. And you don’t hear me. I am not mentioned in any scene. I feel only vibration.
Thor: Love and Thunder starring Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Christian Bale and Tessa Thompson hits theaters on July 8th.
