As far as AAA games go, the summer of 2022 is quite a dry spell. However, a number of new indie games, which we present to you here, will provide pleasant refreshment in July and August – from fox survival adventures to hostels with bear management.
More than 10,000 indie games are released every year – and that’s on Steam alone. Unfortunately, many don’t get the attention they deserve – perhaps simply because they don’t advertise their benefits enough. But there are also indie games that get a lot of attention because they have that certain something. The best example is “Stray”, which mixes cat content with cyberpunk, puzzles and platforming. GAMES.CH has also already dedicated a detailed preview to “Stray” (release: July 19) – which may not least have something to do with the fact that there is a feline decision-maker in our editorial team.
In addition to the “triple indie title” mentioned, there are of course other exciting indie releases in July and August – here we present ten more highlights in a compact listicle. The wide range of genres and settings promises a lot of variety – ranging from an Australian building strategy game to a hellish 3D platformer to stylish rollerblade action. Have fun!
