It’s no secret that the gaming community greeted Destruction AllStars very cool at the start, but since then the situation has changed for the better, as Lucid Games has invested a lot of effort and work in their offspring, finalizing and improving everything that was criticized in one way or another . The latest update to date adds a completely new “Jumpshot” mode to the game, which has already become available for acquaintance.
In this new mode, not only cars are used, but also the riders themselves. Four teams of three people get control on the gear. One player holds it by rushing around the arena on their own two while the other two actively score points by destroying opponents. When the number of points reaches a critical point, they can be reset to the bank held by the player. Then control over the gear will pass to other participants. The team with the most points wins the competition.
It sounds quite interesting and almost immediately leads to the question: why couldn’t something like this be added earlier? After all, players who had time to get acquainted with Destruction AllStars at the start have repeatedly complained that the game has a very strong advantage in the direction of car derbies, and the heroes themselves and their abilities are practically not used to achieve team goals. Apparently, “Jumpshot” is intended to eliminate this imbalance, and at the same time make the game more team-based.
