One of the most important authors of the videogame industry, Mary DeMarle, has decided to join the cause of BioWare. The writer of Deux Ex and Guardians of the Galaxy thus enters the Canadian subsidiary of Electronic Arts after 15 years spent in the ranks of Eidos.
To give the news is the same DeMarle announcing her entry in EA / BioWare on social networks: the author will take on the prestigious role of Senior Narrative Director and, presumably, he will develop the main story and dense secondary plots of Dragon Age Dreadwolf, the fourth “major” installment of BioWare’s roleplaying epic.
In the experience lived with Eidos, DeMarle has helped to write (literally!) Some of the most representative pages of the videogame industry in recent years, shaping the history of games such as Deux Ex Human Revolution, Guardians of the GalaxyMyst IV Revelation, Homeworld 2 and Myst III Exile.
The work carried out in recent years by Mary DeMarle, by the same admission of the new Senior Narrative Director of BioWare, focuses on the creation of interactive works that allow players to immerse themselves in the gameplay experience without trivializing aspects such as the shooter phases, the reactions of the enemies or the consequences of the actions performed by one’s alter-ego.
