With only a few days left before the world premiere, Marvel has shared a new trailer for Thor: Love and Thunder, which shows a lot of scenes we haven’t seen yet. Among them there is one where the Woman Thor is depicted with damaged armor. Cause? Possibly because of the tense showdown with the film’s main villain, Gorr, played by Christian Bale.
While this isn’t the first time we’ve seen Jane Foster in a spectacular costume and wielding Thor’s hammer, it’s now shown that despite her advanced Mjolnir wielding, she won’t have a hard time defeating Gorr. Luckily, she seems to have the skills and strength to deal with the enemy. In fact, Chris Hemsworth’s character mentions that Foster grew up to be the real Thor.
His words could be the basis for the film’s biggest speculation yet: Will Thor: Love and Thunder be Chris Hemsworth’s last appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe? Although the parties concerned declined to comment on this issue, everything indicates that this will be the case. Hemsworth has already spent a lot of time in Marvel films, so it wouldn’t be surprising if he intends to look for new roles outside of superhero films.
