TFI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo doubts that Apple has cut orders for iPhone 14 series smartphones by 10%, as previously reported by Taiwanese industry publication DigiTimes.
In a tweet, Kuo said the forecast for iPhone 14 and EMS component shipments remains the same as he originally thought, and “minor iPhone shipment adjustments” are common, especially before mass production of new models.
Kuo also added that Apple doesn’t typically cut or increase orders for new iPhones by double digits.
Moreover, the analyst emphasized that Apple would rather postpone orders to a later time, rather than cut them.
Apple is expected to introduce the iPhone 14 series in September.
