Annapurna Interactive plans to bring its interactive adventure What Remains of Edith Finch to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. While there is no official announcement yet, the Taiwan Game Rankings website has revealed recordings of the native version of the game for current generation consoles from Sony and Microsoft.
What Remains of Edith Finch is a critically acclaimed story-driven adventure game that explored the fate of the Finch family and told the story of each family member through a series of interactive stories.
Although the game was released some time ago, it did not have native 4K support, and the frame rate was capped at just 30fps on consoles. On PS4, it ran at 1080p at 30fps, which was associated with stuttering issues. A similar story was on the Xbox One with 1080p dynamic resolution.
The native versions for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S will likely offer higher frame rates and 4K resolution.
