Black Runner Enhanced Edition didn’t have a smooth launch as the game has had a lot of bugs since it was released a few weeks ago. Recently, the developers have released the first patch for the game.
As announced on Steam, the first patch for Blade Runner Enhanced Edition fixes a lot of bugs. You can read the full patch notes below.
Added missing audio and text localization (video localization will come in a later patch). Set your language in the game settings Added missing subtitle titles Fixed possible deadlocks and memory leaks Fixed various menus not responding to resolution changes. Fixed looping sound of menu sliders when dragging with mouse. Fixed an issue where customizing a borderless window on PC would not get stuck. Added game option to disable widescreen borders. Added a game option to change the brightness in the game. Fixed an issue that prevented McCoy from walking freely in certain rooms (such as outside of Runciter’s room). Fixed subtitles not showing up during cutscenes. Fixed an issue that caused outtakes to not play at 60fps. Fixed an issue that caused fog to not display correctly in some rooms (such as Chinatown). Fixed an issue that caused McCoy to crash into vehicles in RC03. Fixed green flickering on transitions Fixed items not showing up after loading a save game. Fixed Esper crash when zooming out with preview thumbnail. Fixed various KIA issues. Previously it was difficult to tell which page you are on in kia, now the currently selected kia page should be called up in the top row of buttons. The kia’s “hover” state wasn’t different enough for you to be able to tell where your cursor is, now an extra pass has been added to it to make it more obvious. The privacy of individual hints when using the kia privacy add-on was not obvious, each private hint now has a unique icon next to it, as well as background highlighting. Improved graphics for KIA upgrades and suspicious silhouettes. Keyboard shortcuts can no longer open KIA during cutscenes. Fixed incorrect colors in localized subtitles. Fixed a bug that caused subtitles to change the interface language. Fixed sound volume change when transitioning between scenes. The player’s personality (talk options) can be changed in-game. Difficulty achievements are retroactive.
For the next patch, the authors have planned the following:
Switching between original and Enhanced Edition videos, Video localization for intros and outtakes, UI and menu improvements, Improvements to make longer KIA tooltips legible Improvements to controls that make them more obvious and consistent in the game. Pathfinding Improvements Police Labyrinth Improvements
