The avalanche of leaks surrounding Call of Duty 2024 continues: in the past few days we have discovered that the production will be a new episode of the Black Ops seriestoday some important news arrives on the historical period of setting of the production Treyarch license plate.
Over the course of the weekend, some fans got their hands on a file of the Warzone Mobile alpha buildwhich would contain, among other things, the former Call of Duty 2024 pictures and information on the setting and some mechanics of the game. The information was posted on Twitter by the user RealiityUK, who received a ban from the platform in the past few hours.
Fortunately, some users on Reddit they collected and shared all the information coming from the datamine of Warzone Mobile, which include weapons, maps, vehicles and characters both for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2arriving at the end of the year, that for Call of Duty Black Ops 6, or the next game in the CoD series, which should be launched in the course of 2024.
The latter, in particular, appears to be a direct follow-up to Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold Waras it should be set during the Gulf Wars and the civil war in Somalia. Between the images and the concept art leaked by the Warzone Mobile data miner, in fact, we find some that portray the Lockheed F-117 Nighthawk attack aircraft, widely used by the United States during the 1990-1991 Gulf War.
A concept artnow unfortunately untraceable, showed American soldiers entering what appears to be a bombed-out building, while other images featured references to the 1993 battle of Mogadishuone of the most violent events of the Somali civil war, which began in 1986 and has not yet ended.
In short, it seems that the new episode of the Black Ops series will lead us to relive the early nineties, one of the most controversial periods in American history. We remind you, however, that the game should be released in 2024: already several months ago, in fact, Activision confirmed that Call Of Duty will skip the 2023 appointment, slipping to the following year.
