Despite the devastating criticism, the mobile title Diablo Immortal manages to generate over a million dollars in revenue every day.
As from the data from AppMagic reveals that the mobile title Diablo Immortal, which was released last month and has now been downloaded more than ten million times, can show consistently strong revenues despite ongoing criticism.
While daily earnings peaked at $2.4 million just over a week after launch, as of this writing, over a month after release, they’re still over $1 million a day.
Shortly after launch, Diablo Immortal was heavily criticized for its microtransaction model. A report released over the game’s opening weekend calculated that players would have to shell out a whopping $110,000 to level up their character.
Fans were not happy and vented their anger via social media. On Metacritic, Diablo Immortal’s user rating fell to an all-time negative record of 0.2 out of 10 in early July.
