Sounds absurd, but it’s possible with the “F-Sim Space Shuttle 2” app. The Viennese flight specialists from SkyTale offer the trip for CHF 5 in the App Store. The aim is to enable everyone to have a realistic flight experience, explains developer Sascha Ledinsky. He is actually a flight enthusiast and therefore a man of conviction, which can be seen from the sparkle in his eyes when he talks about his app. Finding your way around the shuttle cockpit is not easy at first, but there are numerous German-language tutorials and help to make it work. What you then get to see on the iPad screen is quite impressive and worth the brief effort. In the foreseeable future they want to offer a few more flight experiences with other machines, promises Ledinsky.
