Apple CEO Tim Cook will attend the annual Sun Valley conference in Idaho this week, Deadline reports.
Billionaire Summer Camp is visited annually by CEOs of the largest and most influential IT and media companies, including Tim Cook, Mark Zuckerberg, Warren Buffett, Bill Gates, Bob Chapek, Satya Nadell, Michael Dell and others. At the 2019 conference, Cooke had an argument with Zuckerberg over the collection of data on iPhone users, since then Apple has successfully implemented the app tracking transparency feature in iOS 14.5.
The organizer is the investment firm Allen & Company, about which almost nothing is known. The company does not have a website, and representatives do not respond to media inquiries.
Many big deals are rumored to have been negotiated during various Sun Valley conferences, including Verizon’s acquisition of Yahoo, Disney’s ABC network, and Jeff Bezos’ Washington Post.
