Xiaomi introduced a 16-inch Windows laptop called the Book Pro 16. It has an all-metal body with a thickness of only 14.9 mm and “the best display on the market.”
It has a 10-bit E4 class OLED with 4K resolution, 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio, up to 600 nits of brightness, 100% DCI-P3 gamut coverage, and Dolby Vision support.
The manufacturer claims that the picture on it is as clear and juicy as on the new Xiaomi 12S flagship smartphones. With all this, the screen is touch-sensitive with support for up to 10 simultaneous touches. Corning Gorilla Glass 3 is responsible for protection.
With a weight of 1.8 kg, the laptop is equipped with a 70 Wh battery that provides 12 hours of operation without recharge. For charging, the kit includes a 100-watt GaN adapter that works via USB-C.
The backlit keyboard has 1.3mm key travel. The touchpad is complemented by a built-in vibration motor for tactile feedback and has a glass surface.
At the ends of the case, there are three USB-C ports (1 × Thunderbolt) and an audio jack. Support for Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0 is also announced. The laptop will ship with Windows 11 preinstalled.
The base 16-inch model features a 12th Gen Intel Core i5 processor with 16GB LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB PCIe 4.0 onboard storage. Its price is 6,499 yuan (≈54,200 rubles). Higher performance versions with Core i7 will be equipped with discrete RTX 2050 graphics cards.
Also, this model will be released in a version with a 14-inch display with a resolution of 2.8K instead of 4K. It will cost from 5,899 yuan (≈49,300 rubles).
