As noted by XboxERA and as verified by this writer, Yakuza Zero, Yakuza Kiwami and Yakuza Kiwami 2 are available again on Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass, after being removed in recent months due to the expiration of the contractual agreements between Microsoft and SEGA.
Apparently, however, the two sides have found a new agreement and the three games are now back in the catalog of the subscription service, starting today Tuesday 5 July. This is an excellent opportunity to rediscover the Yakuza saga, Yakuza Zero is the prequel to the series while Kiwami is the remake of the first Yakuza released in 2005 on PlayStation 2, Kiwami 2 is instead the re-release of Yakuza 2.
These are three essential games to start discovering the sagaonce you have explored the origins of Yakuza you can continue to deepen the story with Yakuza 3, 4 and 5 up to the great epilogue Yakuza 6 The Song of Life, while Yakuza Like A Dragon is a sort of reboot with a new protagonist and game mechanics deeply modified, while retaining the charm of Yakuza.
In the next few hours Microsoft will announce the Xbox Game Pass games of July 2022 confirming the return of Yakuza Zero, Kiwami and Kiwami 2.
