A remake of the cult zombie game Lollipop Chainsaw will be released in 2023. Responsible for the return is Yoshimi Yasuda, the original game’s executive producer, who currently leads Dragami Games.
The remake is being developed by Lollipop Chainsaw veterans and newcomers alike and will feature more realistic graphics. According to Dragami Games, due to licensing issues, the game will use a new soundtrack. Lollipop Chainsaw is one of the few games missing from Microsoft’s Xbox backwards compatibility program, possibly due to licensing issues.
Unfortunately, various factors have led to the fact that fans can no longer easily play Lollipop Chainsaw, and players have been unable to access the game on modern consoles for some time now. We, the developers of the original Lollipop Chainsaw, consider the game very valuable to us and don’t want to leave it in obscurity where players who want to play it can’t. Therefore, we acquired the intellectual property of Lollipop Chainsaw from Kadokawa Games and decided to develop a remake. Our goal is to make it easy for those who want to play Lollipop Chainsaw to play. Please look forward to the release of the game in 2023.
