Community of players No Man’s Skywho are members of the Galactic Hub, came up with and released a cryptocurrency called HubCoin.
HubCoin is aimed at end-game players who no longer need in-game currency, but still want to get things that are unlocked through various activities. For example, they want to pay for an art canvas in their base, seek help from an experienced architect for interior decoration, tip someone for help, or get other amenities without spending their own resources.
The goal of HubCon is to fill the void in the hearts of players with a cryptocurrency that works just like a “real” cryptocurrency, but has no actual value. This means that users will not be able to cash out. If any of the players try to cash in on HubCon by selling it for real money, they will immediately be blacklisted.
HubCon is not bought or sold on exchanges, but is earned in other ways, such as posting to the Galactic Hub Discord or completing special in-game events. There are currently 149 users using HubCon cryptocurrency.
