The Computer Entertainment Suppliers Association (CESA) has confirmed that Tokyo Game Show 2022 will take place from September 15 to 18, and in honor of this event, the official promo poster of the event, accompanied by the slogan Nothing Stops Gaming, was released.
Designed by Kukka, the poster aims to highlight the love and passion for video games, an ever-evolving medium that is always capable of delivering big surprises to the public. To date, more than 465 companies have confirmed their participation in TGS, 299 from Japan and 166 from other countries, with a total of more than 1900 booths, significantly more than the 1500 originally planned by the organization.
Instead, the Tokyo Game Show 2022 Indie Game Area will feature the best independent titles from around the world, with a total of 81 confirmed games selected from over 580 titles. This year’s Tokyo Game Show is sponsored by Sony Interactive Entertainment, Nintendo and Kodansha Game Creators Lab, as well as indie game incubator iGi and event tech partners ELSA Japan and BenQ Japan.
Tokyo Game Show 2022 will be held at Makuhari Messe in Chiba as a three-day event, conference and live demo. The Computer Entertainment Suppliers Association expects the show to attract 150,000 visitors this year.
