And again insider and journalist Tom Henderson turned out to be right, for the umpteenth time.
Ubisoft has announced Tom Clancy’s The Division Resurgence, a new free-to-play shooter game for smartphones set to launch in 2023.
Like its console and PC brethren, Resurgence will be a third-person action RPG set in an open world, with a new story campaign that will offer “new perspectives on key events in the story.”
You will once again play as an agent of the strategic unit “Motherland” in post-crisis America, after the outbreak of a deadly virus and the collapse of the government. Actual!
The Resurgence press release mentions both solo and co-op play in various PVE events.
Prior to the full launch of Resurgence next year, a closed alpha version of the game will be available to try out now.
In addition, Ubisoft is preparing another game within the The Division franchise. Heartland will be a free-to-play game for consoles and PC, but we don’t know when it will release yet. Perhaps we’ll find out more at the just-announced September Ubisoft Forward event?
