According to editor Eddie Hamilton, “Mission Impossible 8” will surpass the stunts shown in previous films.
Known for pushing his body to the limit in an effort to entertain audiences, Tom Cruise will outdo himself in the next installment of the long-running Mission: Impossible franchise, according to an editor. What Cruz has done will be seen as nothing short of “historic,” he said.
Cruz is no stranger to pulling off impressive stunts, and for good reason he is one of the highest paid and most attractive actors in the industry today. He’s been in the action movies of the Mission: Impossible franchise for the better part of 30 years, and when the latest movie debuts in theaters, it will be 28 years since he made the first one under Brian DePalma.
In an interview with ScreenRant, Eddie Hamilton spoke about director Christopher McQuarrie’s latest work. He said:
Again, collaborating with Tom Cruise and Chris McQuarrie every day on this episode to keep developing it and making it better and better, and I swear some of the things it does, I mean, it’s historical, man. I’m not exaggerating. You look at this and think, Tom did it again. He did it again. And frankly, it’s amazing to have a ringside seat for this sort of thing.
He then compared what viewers would see to the crazy flight in the canyon scene in Top Gun: Maverick. He said:
There will be some moments. in Mission 8 when you have the same “I can’t believe I’m seeing this”. Two years will pass and you will see it.
If what Cruise does for the latest Mission: Impossible is somehow even more spectacular than anything before it, including Maverick, fans of the series will have a great time in theaters.
Mission: Impossible: Deadly Reckoning Part 1 will hit theaters on July 14, 2023. The sequel is scheduled to premiere on June 28, 2024.
