Raiden IV x Mikado remix is the definitive version of the classic arcade shooter coming to Xbox in early 2023.
The arcade classic Raiden first made waves in Mikado Game Center arcades in 1990. Raiden IV saw the light of day in 2007 and was released a year later for the Xbox 360. Raiden V followed in 2014 for the Xbox One.
Now Raiden IV x Mikado remix wants to leave a lasting impression on gamers with classic shoot ’em up gameplay, numerous modes and remixed versions of the original soundtrack from early 2023.
When it comes to game modes, Raiden IV x Mikado remix has a lot to offer. Arcade mode has two levels of difficulty and rewards risk-taking with increased scores. Two more stages are available in additional mode and enemies use different attack patterns.
OverKill mode features two new missions and has its own mechanic that rewards players for damaging boss enemies. In the Score Attack mode, the various stages are on the hunt for high scores, while the Boss Rush mode concentrates on the boss fights at the end of the level.
All modes can be played solo or in two-player couch co-op. Additionally, Double Play lets a player control two spaceships at the same time. In order to be able to master the various challenges of the shoot ’em up, three spaceships are available, each of which favors different playing styles with their strengths and weaknesses.
As the game’s name suggests, Raiden IV x Mikado remix contains various remixed versions of the original background music. Featuring well-known artists like the Go Sato Band, Heavy Metal Raiden, OTK and more. Players can switch between Original Soundtrack and Remix Soundtrack at any time.
Raiden IV x Mikado remix will be released in early 2023 for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and PC. Xbox players can look forward to Smart Delivery support.
