RuneScape changes the rules of The Wilderness, the playable PvP zone. The rule set change means that PvP combat is now optional. Players now need to enable PvP consent as this option is disabled by default. In addition, this area will now focus more on combat between players and monsters.
Along with this update, you will receive a PvP zone update – Wilderness Reborn. Wilderness Reborn is more suitable for players of any skill level and gaming preferences. Aside from the aesthetic and rule changes, Wilderness Reborn includes a new quest, The Daughter of Chaos. The quest is the beginning of a new storyline “Zamburak’s Legacy”.
The Daughter of Chaos quest is designed to be fun for new and old players alike, and focuses on combat between players and monsters. Upon completing the quest, players will unlock a 10% damage reduction and a 5% damage increase bonus. These bonuses remain active as long as the player is in the wildlife spawn zone. In addition, the Daughters of Chaos quests lay the groundwork for new lore that will guide this season’s RuneScape storyline for the next six months.
Throughout the year, Runescape will be adding new events and content to Wilderness, including a Wilderness-themed track that will launch later this summer.
RuneScape is a hugely popular MMORPG that was launched over twenty years ago as a PC browser game. The game has since been made available for mobile devices and allows cross-platform development and play on mobile devices and PC.
