Xiaomi has just released the first promotional poster of the new Redmi K50 Extreme Edition smartphone on the social network Weibo. This model, formerly known as Redmi K50s Pro, will be the first smartphone of the brand to integrate a super sensor with 200 megapixels of resolution.
In the same publication, the Chinese brand confirms the presence of the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor in the model and also adds that the new Redmi has undergone some “radical adjustments” to provide the “most hardcore performance in the history of the K series”.
Unfortunately, Xiaomi does not give any clues about the specific date for the model’s arrival in the hands of users, only advancing that this is a “mid-year gift” that the brand will make available to its fans.
Expected specs on Redmi K50 Extreme Edition
If you believe the rumors already released about the new smartphone, we are actually looking at specifications that bet on performance. Starting with the processor, which, as we have already mentioned, will be the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, the most recent top chip on the market.
The brand is expected to make this model available in two configurations: one with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage and another, more advanced, with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage capacity.
But the highlight goes directly to the triple rear camera configuration that will house a super sensor with 200 megapixels of resolution. This will be one of the first smartphones available on the market to include this specification. This sensor will be accompanied by an ultra wide angle of eight megapixels and a macro sensor with two megapixels of resolution.
We also cannot fail to mention the huge 5,000 mAh battery with support for 120 watt fast charging that will power the new Redmi K50 Extreme Edition.
The model will also feature a 6.7-inch AMOLED screen that will provide a 120 Hz refresh rate, Full HD+ resolution and support for HDR10+.
