Xiaomi recently shared an official image of its next high-end smartphone, the Xiaomi 12T Pro, a model that should arrive in Europe and in stores in Portugal. At the same time, we also have new information and images about the next cheap Android tablet from the brand led by Lei Jun, the Redmi Pad.
These are some of the next releases that we can reasonably see in stores in 2022. It is a new phone with high-end features such as, for example, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. As far as you are concerned, the Redmi Pad tablet will be more restrained in the datasheet, but will have a more competitive price.
Xiaomi 12T Pro may debut 200 MP camera and Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1
Firstly, we have the “official glimpse” provided by Xiaomi itself with the images of the Android smartphone and tablet, as we can see above. At the same time, information leaks bring us a similar view, of the real product already in hand.

We can see in the image above, in an exclusive from the Phonandroid publication, the general contours of the camera for the supposed Xiaomi 12T Pro. At stake is a ready-made unit of the supposed smartphone to be launched soon by the Chinese brand.
Note the specific reference to 200 MP in what will be one of the first smartphones to use the Samsung ISOCELL HP1 image sensor (or more recent version), precisely with 200 megapixels of resolution.

In short, the Xiaomi 12T Pro will be no more than the global version of the Redmi K50 Ultra already available in China, the domestic market of the brand in question. The phone will have a 200 MP sensor from Samsung, while the Xiaomi 12T will have a 108 MP camera, the same Samsung sensor used, for example, in the Galaxy S22 Ultra.
Furthermore, the best of the upcoming Xiaomi smartphones will feature Qualcomm’s most advanced processor to date, the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1.
Xiaomi Redmi Pad tablet will use a MediaTek processor
The brand’s next tablet will be more affordable than the current Xiaomi Pad 5. It will apparently have a MediaTek processor of an unspecified model and will use a version of MIUI 13 improved for the large-screen format.
Now, we can only wait for the official presentation of both mobile devices, probably at the Xiaomi event to be held at the end of September 2022. Until then, we count on the gradual disclosure of more information about both products.
