Bloober Team, known for The Medium and Layers of Fear games, is rumored to be developing a remake of Silent Hill 2. Rumors about this have been circulating for a long time, especially after Bloober and Konami signed a cooperation agreement, the results of which we still have nothing did not see. Now the Internet has footage of a possible remake in very poor quality
Dusk Golem, a well-known Resident Evil insider, claims the images are real, but taken from Team Bloober’s internal demo before the project was greenlit. Konami was looking for partners in 2018 to breathe new life into the license and as such these footage may differ greatly from the final product.
The footage shows a typical third-person game that explores the appropriate Silent Hill-style desert environment. The resolution is really very low so that you can make out something, but if there is nothing else, then you don’t have to choose. The atmosphere seems to be moving in the right direction, and the setting feels traditional for the series.
Silent Hill 2 was released in 2001 and received much praise for its story, use of metaphor, psychological horror, adult themes, soundtrack, and enemy design, such as the introduction of Pyramid Head, which has become one of the most recognizable creatures in the series. Konami’s game is often cited as one of the greatest video games of all time. It stars James Sunderland, who comes to the town of Silent Hill after receiving a letter from his wife, who died many years ago.
