Bethesda hasn’t shared much new information about Starfield since the June show, which is one of the most anticipated games right now. The space project is due out early next year, but it doesn’t have an exact release date yet.
But many Xbox employees have already been able to watch Starfield live. Previously, Xbox head Phil Spencer visited Bethesda and watched Todd Howard’s new game. Matt Booty, head of Xbox Game Studios, also spoke about a similar experience.
During an interview at PAX West 2022, Matt Booty was asked what impresses him the most about Starfield. In his opinion, ship customization will be one of the coolest aspects of the game. In addition, Booty noted that it is imperative to highlight the art style of the game, which the developers call “NASA Punk”.
Recall that earlier the Bethesda team said that to describe their vision of the future, they came up with a special term “NASA Punk”. By this term, the Starfield development team refers to a sci-fi universe that is simple for players because it is built on realism. The Starfield “NASA Punk” aesthetic goes back to late ’70s science fiction artists like Ron Cobb and Robert McCall.
