Games Industry Portal Manager Christopher Dring citing GSD data told about the first successes in the British market of action-adventure The Last of Us Part I for PlayStation 5.
As it became known, The Last of Us Part I topped the weekly British retail chart by a small margin from its rivals, but in terms of the number of copies sold at the start, it was twice inferior to the recent relaunch of Saints Row.
The Last of Us Part I has only been released on PS5 so far, while Saints Row is available on multiple platforms. In addition, Dring urged to wait results in digital format before assessing the success of the project in the UK market.
Recall that The Last of Us Part I is positioned as a remake of the original The Last of Us with new graphics, gameplay improvements and an expanded set of accessibility settings. The cost of the project is £70 ($70, 5499 rubles).
The Last of Us Part I debuted on September 2nd on PS5, and should be coming to PC a little later. Western critics called the remake the best, albeit optional, version of an already good game.
