The New Game+ mode is a great way to re-run your favorite game. More than a year and a half has passed since the release of Cyberpunk 2077, but this feature has not yet been introduced into the project. Judging by the reports from the CD Projekt RED team, we should not expect the appearance of the “New Game +” in the near future.
Under the tweet announcing the studio’s latest episode of Night City Wire, CDPR Community Manager Amelia Kołat confirmedthat “New Game+” will not be part of the presentation. It turns out that the mode will not be released along with the next update.
We have plans to show you quite a few cool things but NG+ is not one of them.

In the same thread, level designer and colleague Amelia Miles Tost explained, why the feature does not come out for so long. According to him, this is due to a huge heap of work that needs to be done. It is necessary to rebalance the entire project, and then test it for a long time. It’s also important to pay attention to equipment from the final stages, which can break parts of the early game.
We will have to review the whole game to make sure that the feature that affects almost all aspects of it is done correctly. Unfortunately, we can’t just let you start a new playthrough with your existing V.
Recall that Night City Wire will be broadcast today at 18:00 Moscow time. CDPR will dedicate it to the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners anime, the upcoming patch and the future of Cyberpunk 2077.
