Eddie Hearn, promoter of star British heavyweight Anthony Joshua (24-3, 22 KOs), believes that the fight of his ward against WBC title holder Tyson Fury (32-0-1, 23 KOs) will be much bigger than the battle between Tyson and Alexander Usyk for the title of absolute champion:
“In reality, while some people may not like to hear it, Joshua is still the biggest shot in boxing. I mean, the Joshua-Fury fight will be five times the size of the Fury-Usyk fight. Such is the reality.
By the way, Fury vs Usyk would be a great fight, a fight for the title of absolute world champion. But like I said, people want to see the Joshua-Fury fight. Despite the fact that Anthony lost to Usyk, I told the fans that they would see the duel with Fury. I don’t think it will take place in December. But even if the fight takes place in the spring or summer of next year, it will be the biggest in the history of boxing.
Note that earlier Joshua responded to Fury about a possible fight.
