Polish portal XGP.pl noticed that the official Cyberpunk 2077 YouTube channel in the comments under the debut trailer of the Phantom Liberty add-on clarified its status in the context of post-release support for the game.
Recall that before the release of Cyberpunk 2077, CD Projekt RED said that the game would receive at least two story DLCs, but in the post-release rhetoric of the studio, the upcoming addition was the only one – nothing was heard about the others.
As it became known, Phantom Liberty is the “only planned expansion” for Cyberpunk 2077. The news was not a surprise, as the addon will also be the last CD Projekt RED project on the RED Engine.
Phantom Liberty will tell a story in the genre of a spy thriller about the protagonist’s service to the New United States of America. DLC events will unfold in the new area of Night City before the finale of the main game.
Phantom Liberty is expected to release in 2023 only on PC (Steam, GOG, Epic Games Store), PS5, Xbox Series X and S, and Google Stadia. The developers refused to actively support versions for PS4 and Xbox One.
