“Football Manager 2023”, the latest installment in the legendary series from Sports Interactive and SEGA, will be released on November 8th for more platforms and devices than ever before – including for the first time PlayStation 5 and Apple Arcade.
For the first time in the franchise’s history, the depth and drama of the world’s leading football management simulation comes to PS5. The FM23 Console, tailored for Dualsense controllers, will be released alongside the PC/Mac version.
After a year off, the popular touch variant is coming back to Apple devices via Apple Arcade. Whether with an iPhone, iPad, Mac or Apple TV – subscribers to Apple Arcade can conquer the football world on and off the field with FM23 Touch.
“FM23 is another important step forward for the Football Manager franchise with its debut on two new platforms. Fans have been asking us for a PlayStation version for years, so I’m delighted that these players can now experience the day-to-day life of a football manager in the most realistic way possible.”
Miles Jacobson, der Studio Director von Sports Interactive
“Not releasing a touch version for iOS or Android in 2021 was a difficult decision for us and a disappointment for some of our fans. By partnering with Apple Arcade, we can now bring back a popular title in a way that makes sense for us as a studio and for the broader FM community.”
FM23 brings fans even closer to every aspect of this great sport, from supporters in the stadium to scouts, players, opposing managers and newly licensed competitions such as the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League and UEFA Europa Conference League. New game features will be revealed over the coming weeks across Football Manager social media channels, the Football Manager website and FMFC, the Football Manager Members Club.
Fans who purchase a physical copy of FM23 will find that no disc is included this year. Instead, the pack contains a code that can be used to redeem the game on Steam, Epic Games or the Microsoft Store.
Eliminating the disc and notebook, along with other improvements to our eco-friendly packaging, means FM23’s packaging has a 47% lower carbon footprint than FM22’s. Overall, the CO2 equivalent of Football Manager packaging has been reduced from 256 at Football Manager 2019 to just 66 at FM23.
