Adam Kiczynski, head of CD Projekt RED, said that the team has no plans to abandon The Witcher series even after a few years. Right now, the 4th part, created on the basis of the UE5 engine, is in development, but it will turn out to be only the first chapter of the “new saga”.
According to him, the new sub-series will consist of at least two projects. At the same time, in the future, developers may well turn it into a full-fledged trilogy. He added that The Witcher 4 is currently in pre-production.
Unfortunately, the developer did not disclose any new details about the project. It is only known that it will definitely have a new main character, possibly associated with the Lynx school. It is still not clear where and when the action of the new game will develop.
The head of the Polish company also added that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt remaster is still in active development and should be released this year. Owners of the game on PC, PS4 and Xbox One will be able to get an upgrade absolutely free.
