On the occasion of the Direct conference this Tuesday, Capcom announced four current titles in the Resident Evil horror series for the switch.
Horror fans on the switch can look forward to four well-known genre representatives, because Capcom is also bringing several titles from Resident Evil to the switch. Specifically, the current Resident Evil Village, the remakes of Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3 and Resident Evil 7: Biohazard should make the leap to the Nintendo console.
Due to the technical limitations compared to the other platforms for which the horror titles are available, these will not be versions that run natively on the switch. Rather, Capcom uses a cloud solution on the Nintendo console, enabling the titles to be streamed on the switch.
Resident Evil Village is to start on October 28, 2022, which will then also receive the “Winter’s Expansion” on the switch from December 2nd. The three remaining Switch versions are already in the works and are scheduled to follow later this year, although this has not yet been specifically named.
For those who want to try the cloud solution first: A demo for Resident Evil Village Cloud can be streamed via the Nintendo eShop starting today. This demo allows you to try out the performance of your internet connection with the gaming experience for a limited time. After finishing the demo, it is possible to pre-order or buy the entire game directly from the same app.
