Anthony Joshua promoter Eddie Hearn commented on negotiations over a possible fight with Tyson Fury:
“We were signed for this fight before. We never got out of the negotiations, and the fight fell through due to Fury’s trial with Wilder. Let’s see. I hope everything will happen, because we agreed to the conditions.
Maybe they think now is the right time to fight Joshua. But I don’t want to downplay the importance of this fight. I don’t want to blame anyone for anything. I want to try and make a fight. AJ says he won’t get that chance to fight Fury again. He’s ready to fight.”
Hearn previously stated that the Fury-Joshua fight is five times bigger than the Fury-Usyk fight.
