In an update to the Kickstarter campaign, the developers of Penny Blood announced a new collaboration for the project: Nobuo Uematsu, a famous Japanese composer, composer of the soundtrack for the Final Fantasy series, and more. Of course, he will work on the game’s music, collaborating with lead composer Yoshitaka Hirota and another recent team member Akari Kaida to find the right interpretation of the music to serve as the backdrop for the action.
Below we see Uematsu talking to Hirota in an interview with Michio Okamiya.
Nobuo Uematsu is regarded as one of the giants of the global video game industry when it comes to creating video game soundtracks. The aforementioned Final Fantasy series wouldn’t be the same without his music, but the maestro boasts dozens of games in his portfolio, as well as plenty of collaborations.
Games signed by him include Romancing SaGa, Chrono Trigger, Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey, Super Smash Bros. Brawl and many more. In short, his presence is another reason to support the campaign of Penny Blood and Armed Fantasia, in which some of the masters of Japanese role-playing games have joined forces. So far, €1,410,171 has been collected out of the originally requested €693,244.
