Genshin Impact Patch 3.1 was streamed today, where the developers noted that Sumeru will soon expand significantly thanks to the desert region. It will be possible to explore new locations on September 28th.
Players will be able to visit the tomb of King Deshret and the underground city, as well as fight new bosses and complete additional story missions. In addition, the team will add three new characters to the game: Saino (5 stars; Electro, spear), Neela (5 stars; Hydro, one-handed sword) and Kandakia (4 stars; Hydro, spear).
At the same time, a large-scale festival called the Wine Festival will be held in Mondstadt, during which the Traveler will be able to meet many old acquaintances and make new friends. Other exciting events are also waiting for players, for example, the Journey of the Star Seeker and the Winddriver.
The HoYoverse team also suddenly announced an anime series based on Genshin Impact. Ufotable specialists, who previously worked on the popular show Demon Slayer, are already working on its creation. A concept video was presented, which showed the characters and some locations.
The company calls the new project long-term. Most likely, several anime seasons are already planned, which will be released over the course of several years.
