One of the first video comparisons of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II was released based on the beta version of the game running on PS5, PS4 Pro and PS4.
The beta version of the upcoming next part of Call of Duty launched yesterday on PlayStation platforms, and ElAnalistaDebits compared the visuals of the game on different PlayStation platforms with each other. System requirements on PC aren’t much different from 2019’s Modern Warfare, and looking at the visuals of the beta on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 4 Pro, there really isn’t much difference from the first game.
While the PS5 version offers better environmental occlusion, LOD, anisotropic filtering, shadows, and some higher resolution textures, overall it’s pretty clear that this game was developed with past generation consoles as a foundation. So it seems like Modern Warfare II is being held back by the past generation.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II releases next month on October 28 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
