The cat is finally out of the bag: Nintendo has officially revealed the release date and true title of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2, henceforth known as Tears of the Kingdom. Whether the tears are tears or cracks has already been clarified since then, and you can already take a look at the box art for the eagerly awaited sequel.
Of course, Zelda fans are in ecstasy at the announcement right now, proclaiming their joy across the internet. A very special cosplay has also made it there, which shows the protagonist Link from his vulnerable side – almost as if he were shedding tears for the kingdom.
Cosplay of Link from Breath of the Wild as Royal Guard
The cosplay comes from costume tailor The Legend of Emily, who, as a Zelda fan, naturally chose a particularly appropriate name and shares her latest work in two pictures. In both, she is seen as Link in the outfit of the Royal Guard, ready to protect Hyrule and its inhabitants from all evil with her life.
But while the first photo shows Link from his steadfast and strong side, the second shows him emotional and dreamy. Undisturbed, he looks at the beautiful princess gentian, which of course reminds him of Zelda. Let’s hope he doesn’t have to shed the titular Tears of the Kingdom for his princess in Tears of the Kingdom.
Less teary cosplays
While this beautiful cosplay of Link brings us to tears with his devotion, other costumes evoke other emotions as well. This chilling cosplay of Lady Dimitrescu from Resident Evil Village, for example, causes real fear and makes our blood run cold.
On the other hand, we are impressed by this cosplay of Alita from Alita Battle Angel: After all, the cyborg lady gives everything to become a real person. And speaking of Zelda before, this cosplay of Princess Zelda herself amazes not only us, but all of Hyrule as well.
