Grand Theft Auto VI is one of the most anticipated games of all time as it plans to be the sequel to the second best selling game to date. It has sold billions of dollars, earned praise from critics and fans alike, and has been a cultural landmark for the gaming industry for almost a decade. With that in mind, the bar is high and fans are hungry for this game. While Rockstar Games has confirmed it’s working on a new Grand Theft Auto game, people want a trailer, a logo or something to make the wait easier.
To the fury of Rockstar, it appears that Grand Theft Auto 6 gameplay has been leaked. The leak comes from GTAForums user teapotuberhacker, who claims to be responsible for the massive Uber hack that just happened. The leak includes 90 videos taken at various stages of the game’s development. While some of it is just a character walk or testing some technical stuff, there are a few interesting bits. The most notable video shows a Bonnie and Clyde-like couple (presumably Lucia and Jason) robbing a Pulp Fiction-style diner and controlling the crowd until the police arrive.
And in the new videos, we have a look at the nightclub and a fully duplicated conversation with one of the characters
It is very important to emphasize that some of these videos are from 2021 and if they are real, they represent a work in progress on a game that will not be released for many years. Therefore, you should not expect that it will please you with great graphics or detail. Of course, this could all be one big, carefully crafted fake, so take it with a pinch of salt. GTAForums users are currently arguing about whether this is a genuine game or not, but many note how much effort it would take to find voice actors, create working systems, and more.
Under the spoiler you will find a few more videos:
