For three years, the retro shooter WRATH: Aeon of Ruin, which is being developed on the engine of the first Quake, has been at the early access stage on Steam. The full release on all platforms is constantly delayed and is now scheduled for the spring of 2023.
Last year, the developers of KillPixel and publishers 3D Realms and Fulqrum complained about the pandemic, and after that they again postponed the release of the retro shooter. However, it’s a sin for fans to complain: the team releases new content on a regular basis, once every two weeks getting in touch with the community.
WRATH: Aeon of Ruin was released on Steam, GOG and Humble Store Early Access on November 22, 2019. A fresh trailer released recently introduces the first boss of Lady Ascension, Guardian of the Valley of Mourn. After collecting five relics in the first hub, players must defeat the guardian in order to proceed further.
In addition to PC, the retro shooter is set to release on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.
