A new patch and the debut of Netflix’s Cyberpunk: Edgerunners anime has once again seen Cyberpunk 2077’s PC concurrent user numbers skyrocket, this time surpassing 68,000 players.
Just a couple of days ago, reports surfaced that SteamDB recorded that Cyberpunk 2077’s concurrent player count had peaked at 37,000, which in itself is an impressive feat for the game. Since then, the number of players has continued to grow and grow, reaching 68,394 in the last 24 hours, which is a significant achievement for any game approaching its second birthday, not to mention a game with a troubled past like Cyberpunk 2077.
A 68K+ peak in 24 hours means that Cyberpunk 2077 has more players on PC than games like FIFA 22 and Elden Ring, although it hasn’t reached its historical peak of 1,054,388 players.
Of course, PC player count is only a small fraction of the total and doesn’t represent all players on all platforms, but it’s a good indicator of the game’s popularity, especially after the latest update, which introduces various gameplay fixes, improvements, and additional features.
